Happy St Patrick's Day to our wonderful Elder Home Share community. It’s our second year of no parade and a national holiday indoors. Hopefully not for much longer!
Elder Home Share match Caroline and Meg are keeping each-other company during this celebrated day. Caroline has said they will go for a nice walk together to get a bit of fresh air.
Meg and Caroline have been a lovely match now for a number of months. Meg’s son has shared with us that “My Mum has been supported by a companion for the last year through Elder Home Share. It has allowed her stay at home and been a great support to her.”
Elder Home Share are proud and heart-warmed to provide companions with someone to share these holidays with ensuring they aren’t lonely. Everyone needs a friend and we have formed lots of great friendships throughout our time in business!
This year RTE are playing a “reimagined” St Patricks Day festival. From the comfort and safety of your home you will be able to hopefully feel the magic of the annual festival. This could be an idea of how some of our matches could spend their day too!
Unfortunately due to the circumstances of this crazy past year, Caroline has not been able to get home to see her family. During these times we would like to send special love and appreciation to all of our companions. who have not been able to spend time with loved ones and have instead become a part of the Elder Home Share family. They have kept our elders safe and happy during these difficult times. Big thank you and sending warm virtual hugs to you all! 🤗
